What the service is

GradeTrip is an information service. You give a budget; it shows destinations reachable from Amsterdam within that budget, each with a grade for the journey, and links you to the airline or travel agency that sells the flight. It is free to use.

Prices are collected, not live

Flight prices shown here are collected automatically once a night and stored. They are real prices seen in the market at collection time, and every set of results tells you how old that data is — but they are not a quotation, not an offer, and not a guarantee that the same price is still available. Availability and price are set by the airline or agency, and can change at any moment. The price shown on the partner's own booking page is the only one that counts.

What the trip grade means

The grade scores the journey itself: number of stops, total travel time, waiting time at airports and how civilised the departure hours are. It says nothing about the destination, the airline's service, the aircraft, or anything that happens after you land. It is our own calculation, offered as a way to compare journeys, not as advice about where to go.

Booking happens somewhere else

We do not sell flights and we are not a travel agency. Following a booking link takes you to a third party's site, where you buy under their terms and your contract is with them.

That means anything to do with a booking — payment, changes, cancellation, refunds, delays, baggage, complaints — is between you and the company you booked with. We have no access to your booking and cannot act on it. We are not responsible for what those companies do, nor for the content of their sites.

How we are paid

If you book after following a link from here, the partner may pay us a commission. You pay no more for it. Commission plays no part in how results are ordered: the ranking is computed from price and the trip grade before any link is attached.

Using the site

The design, text and the grading method on this site are ours. The underlying flight data belongs to the providers it comes from.

Availability and changes

This is a small service run on one server. It may be unavailable for maintenance or because something has broken, and we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change the site, its features and these terms; the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.
