Privacy

Last updated 25 September 2026. This page describes what the site does today; it is updated when that changes.

GradeTrip is operated by Scale Symphony B.V. (see About & contact). This page says, in plain terms, what happens to information when you use gradetrip.com.

What the site does not do

What the server records

Like any web server, ours writes an access log. Each line holds the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the address requested, the response code and size, the page that referred you, and the browser's user-agent string.

For a search, the address requested contains the search itself — the budget and any dates you entered are part of the URL. Those log lines are rotated and deleted automatically after a short period; they are not linked to a name, and nothing about your searches is stored in a database.

We use the log to keep the site running: to see that it is up, to find errors, and to deal with abuse or attacks.

Nothing is loaded from anyone else

Every part of every page — the text, the typefaces and the photograph — is served by gradetrip.com itself. Your browser contacts no other company to display this site, so no other company learns your IP address or user-agent from your visit. The only way a request of yours reaches a third party is if you choose to follow a link that says where it goes.

When you follow a booking link

Booking links lead to airline and travel-agency sites. The link carries a marker that identifies GradeTrip as the site you came from, so the partner can attribute a booking to us. It does not carry anything about you. Once you are on the partner's site you are in their hands, under their privacy policy — we receive no booking details, no names and no payment information.

Once click tracking is in place, we will also log each click on a booking link.

Where the site runs

gradetrip.com runs on a single server hosted by Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany. Traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS.

If you write to us

Email sent to hello@gradetrip.com reaches a normal mailbox, and we keep it so we can answer you and follow up.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to our using it. Write to hello@gradetrip.com and we will answer.

In practice we hold almost nothing: unless you have emailed us, the only trace of a visit is a short-lived server log line. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
